“How To Get Noticed” by Neville Buchanan

To get noticed, marketing experts say, you must rise above the noise. You do this by building a public image platform that stands out. The vehicles for this are social media and web presence. And so, the Leviathan of our age has become self-promotion.

How much different is that from a life focused on the Savior. Revelation 4:8 (ESV) — 8 And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”

From the Father, the Son’s voice rang out over the formless void, and the light was created. From a crib cried the Christ and salvation was within the grasp of mankind. And with a cry of command it will ring forth and disciples, of all ages, will meet Him in the clouds.

Friend, do you really want to rise above the din? Then live a life destined for the clouds. Jesus said that it would be easier for a camel to enter an eye of a needle than for a rich self-promoter to rise to heaven. Instead, He said, if we would reign with Him we must let go of this world.

Matthew 19:29–30 (ESV) — 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

Most Holy God from the dust we cry towards your thrown: “Come, fairer Lord Jesus. Amen.”
