Galatians 1:10 (NIV) “Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Do you spend your life trying to please everybody?

Paul had to speak harshly to the Christians in Galatia because they were in danger of deserting their faith in Christ by following “Jewish Christians” and turning to another gospel, which really wasn’t a gospel at all.

Paul teaches us that he could not serve Christ faithfully if he allowed the Galatian Christians to believe in the perversion of the gospel of Christ and that the truth of the gospel never changes.

Whose approval are you seeking – others’ or God’s?
