Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion. It is a daily process where you grow to be more and more like Christ. When you start out, you start out as a baby. You must be fed on the simple things of the Bible, and you gradually learn to walk in your Christian faith. At first you may fall down and make mistakes, but you are to continue growing.
Unfortunately, there are many people who stopped growing and give up on their faith. Do you ever feel as though you are not making progress in your spiritual growth? When you are discouraged, remember the day when you gave your heart and life to Christ and know that God won’t give up on you. The God who began a good work in us continues it throughout our lifetime and will finish it when we meet Him face-to-face!
Philippians 1:6 (NLT) “6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
