1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Sometimes we decide not to do the work of the church because we expect someone else will take care of it. Sometimes we hesitate to do good because we don’t see any results. We need to realize that we will often not see the good that results from our efforts. Don’t let discouragement over an apparent lack of results keep you from working.

As Christians we do not work to be saved, we work for the Lord because we are saved! If we truly believe that Christ has won the ultimate victory on the cross, then He did all the work for you. So, do the good that you can do, knowing that your work will have eternal results not because of what you will do, but because of what Jesus did, what He is doing now, and what He will do!
